This past Wednesday, February 19th, my New Port Richey Bootcamp team wrapped up our 6 week Body Transformation Challenge.
University of Scranton Journal of Clinical Psychology released a study January 1st of this year that stated that only 8% of the American population is successful in achieving their New Years Resolutions.
Whoa.
Well guess what? I like to defy the odds!
Here are our stats:
73.11% stuck to their resolution (93 started, 68 finished)
95.58% combined for over 10 bodyfat percentage points lost, pounds of fat dropped and pounds of muscle gained. (65 out of 68, 2 of our men didn’t have 10 pounds to lose)
We lost a combined 818.12 pounds of fat.
That’s over 12.4 pounds of fat lost per person! (not including our 2 men mentioned above)
Most importantly, 24 out of 29 people that started in the “at risk/obesity” or “morbidly obese” category are now in the “healthy/acceptable” category!
That’s a 82.76% success rate in only 6 weeks!!!
Fitness does not have a face.

Fitness is never ending. It is a way of life. A lifestyle.

It’s more than helping a client to develop workout ideas in her hotel room when a family emergency forced her out of town. It’s more than helping a traveling business man with creating a workout from a panoramic photo of his tiny hotel gym. It’s about teaching you that as long as you have the drive, the will and the desire, my creativity is endless 🙂

It’s more than the Friday night calls for the best cheat meal options or from the stressed out mom that just wants the reassurance that “just one glass” of wine won’t throw off her progress. It’s about knowing that someone is always in your corner when you have any doubt.

It’s more than being a go-to injury specialist of exercise tweaks, options, twists or change of angle so that no injury will ever hold you back. It’s about never having an excuse or limitation to hold you back from your goals. In 16 years of playing sports and over 16 combined years of personal training experience and managing our families chiropractic clinic, I’ve either seen it, had it, felt it, helped treat it or worked with it before. It’s about trusting that your best interest and safety is always my primary concern.

It’s more than my Wednesday and Thursday “Where have you been? Get off your ass!” texts when I haven’t seen you yet that week. It’s about learning that one bad day, week or even month should never stop you from getting right back on your program with people and friends you know, like and trust.

It’s more than just providing you with a complete 14 day, step by step, meal plan. It’s about showing you that eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring. Making healthy meals doesn’t have to be chicken and vegetables over and over again. It’s about giving you 70+ meal options so that you never have to worry about what’s for dinner.

It’s more than free weekly Friday night nutrition seminars to teach you the purpose of each food and how to eat them all safely, effectively and nutritiously to your advantage. It’s more than just learning that carbs and fat will not make you fat. It’s more than learning what foods give you the best energy and which are best to after a workout to increase recovery and decrease soreness. It’s about teaching you that every food is your ammo, not your enemy!
We are more than just a bootcamp.
It’s more than having our team mom Lynne make sugar free treats or gluten free baked goods every month. Or that special healthy treat that she makes to hit the spot, just before that moment of weakness. It’s about knowing exactly what you are going through because others have been there before you.
We are more than just a bootcamp.
It’s more than the army of facebook fans, followers and contributors that keep each other accountable, call each other out and more importantly congratulate each other for pushing past their previous fears, doubts and limits. It’s about pride of unity.
We are more than just a bootcamp.
It’s more than helping a fellow member move. It’s more than Shawn and Travis and all of the others who have patiently tracked, hunted and pounced on any and every tractor tire that has crossed their path. It’s about the team.
We are more than just a bootcamp.
It’s more than helping 7 of our current members going through divorce, break ups or severe family illness by being there for them, talking with them, or beating the shit out of a tire with a bat because it feels so damn good. It’s about not quitting when times are tough.
We are more than just a bootcamp.
It’s more than private grocery store tours to teach you healthier options, give you creative meal ideas and save you money on food you eat every day. It’s about paying forward the life lessons, tips and secrets taught to us and shared by us.
We are more than just a bootcamp.
It’s more than a brand new challenging, creative, innovative workout each and every night to constantly keep you engaged, stimulated and gaining strength. It’s more than increasing your agility, coordination and flexibility. It’s more than making you faster, stronger and more explosive than you’ve ever been in your life, even in your 40’s, 50’s , 60’s and 70’s. It’s about becoming the best you, that you have ever been. Period.

Shelly and I put our heart, sweat and soul into each and everyone of you. Your success is our success.
Next week we move into our new location. My expectations will be higher. The challenges will be greater. Only those with the drive, the will and the desire will survive. Their reward? A new life of limitless possibilities.
