I’m not even sure what to write about here as this is my first time, but here goes.

I have just finished my first week of fitness boot camp with Derek. I attended two sessions on Monday, recovered a little on Tuesday, and then attended Wednesday evening, Thursday evening, and Friday morning.

I feel great, though very sore in my legs.

I am in a better mood with my family, faster mentally, and sleeping more soundly, except when I turn over as my aching muscles wake me when I turn.

I know these sessions are really going to help me to get healthy again and I am super excited to be a part of them.

I have been looking for the right path to take back to healthy and I think I have found it with Derek!

The only things I don’t like about these sessions are the bugs, the heat, and the torn up pavement tearing up the tips of my good shoes when I am in push-up position! Oh, and the sharp edges on the cinder blocks and wooden poles. But, these are all things I will adjust to in order to achieve my long-term goals. No problem there!

So, I will end this, my very first fitness blog, with how I feel at the end of a good workout in the heat, bugs, and dirtiness of the outside world of boot camp – “I want some mo! I want some mo!”
