Gimme some ‘mo, gimme some ‘mo!
Week 3 & 4
I have had to miss more boot camps than I have attended in the last two weeks and I absolutely have hated it.
Between last minute vacations that went bad and family commitments with my girls, mother, and husband, I have only been able to go at night for two weeks now and I miss my mornings with Derek!
I still feel good and I am noticing more tightness in my thighs, legs, and stomach now, but I did bounce back up in weight again. I started at 285, lost down to 277, and then last week was 283 (fully dressed though). But, it’s not the weight I am noticing as much as the inches.
I feel that I look smaller in the mirror. Derek is going to re-measure me on Friday and I am very interested to see what has happened there.
Above all though, I feel so much better mentally and getting out of my chaise isn’t difficult any more. Those are big wins to me and I am thankful!
The best part of it is that three of my four daughters have started coming with me consistently in the evenings!
I love, love, love that! I am setting an example for my girls and they get to see it in action! I don’t ask them to do anything more than I can do and that pushes me every time!
One of my girls in particular needs this and wants to become a sports player at her school and I am so happy to be actively helping her achieve it.
I do want to let all of you hard working adults know that if you ever feel my children are being a distraction to your workouts or to your time with Derek, I would like you to let me know. I value the time that I have with him and I know you value yours.
I am doing my best to teach and guide my girls to be respectful of everyone’s time (and the money they are investing in themselves) and in Derek’s time. I have told them that they are not to be a distraction and that if they cannot conduct themselves properly in this adult setting, that they will not be coming anymore.
I feel that is respectful to all of you and is how I would want anyone else’s children to behave as well for me. So, please do not hesitate to pull me aside and speak to me if you have an issue with my girls. Thank you.
Okay, I guess I really did get on a soapbox there! I am so grateful for this class and this opportunity to meet so many great people! I hope we can all become a close knit group both within boot camp and out in the real world. Please be sure to add me as your friend on Facebook too!
