I owe my start at LiveFit to Cindy Smith and Kristen Mitchell. I had met them through another exercise program we were doing.

They had texted me one day to tell me about a new place they had tried out. They both wanted me to come do a 2 week trial and see what I thought.

At that time, I was definitely looking for a change from what I was doing, just felt I needed to be more challenged.

I do have to admit that I was quite nervous after seeing the posts on Facebook, wondering how I was ever going to do all those workouts and try to keep up with everyone.

So, I decided on a day to start and let me just say, from that moment, I knew I had found what I was looking for. I absolutely loved it!

Cindy and Kristen both knew that I would. I went everyday of that 2 week trial that I could make, I was addicted!

The trainers and the clients were all so nice. Every one there was so supportive and just made it feel like home. That first day was a little over a year ago and I still enjoy going every chance I get!

I think one of my biggest struggles I had was believing in myself that I could do all of these workouts. The support from each and every one there is incredible! Everyone is such an inspiration!

Now I know, I push myself and do what I can and am happy with that.

Another one is realizing that I am not as young as I used to be and trying to work through the injuries. I have to remind myself that I have to give it time to heal and stop doing the things that make it worse. Plus the trainers provide modifications every workout to help work around injuries instead of working through them.

I just need to work around it and do something else, as long as I keep moving somehow. We all have certain things we can’t do, but that doesn’t stop us from being there and I love this!

I was very pleased with myself that during one of our challenges, I was able to lose 8 lbs. Definitely a huge accomplishment for me. I have gained muscle and confidence again, both of which have been hidden for some time.

I came to a point in my life where I needed to find out who Belinda really was. Thanks to my boyfriend and LiveFit, I have found her and I am so happy!

Some of my future goals are to focus on eating more nutritional meals to lose weight and decrease body fat. (btw, that is another struggle of mine).

I would also really like to continue to build more muscle.

My family medical history is already against me, so I need to continue fighting it and do the best I can every day to take care of me.

All I can tell people today is please do not wait to start living a healthier lifestyle. The time is now, we only get this one life!

It’s not all puppies and rainbows, especially the first few weeks. When things get tough, you dig down deeper and just have to keep pushing through, celebrate the small victories and eventually, it becomes part of your lifestyle, your routine.

There are so many times where you just want to give up…..DON’T!! Make the best of it and give it all you got and then some!

Exercise is medicine that’s good for the body, mind and soul!
