An old saying goes that if at first you don’t succeed try, try again
Over the years when it comes to sticking long term with a workout routine, I have tried again and again and unfortunately rarely stuck with it long enough to achieve success.
But for some reason working outside in this humid Florida heat and in the Boot Camp style setting is working for me.
Who would have ever thought that “sweating” from every pore and doing things that my body hasn’t done in many, many ears would keep me wanting to come back for more but I would not MISS a scheduled session.
I think a reason for this is that I have a positive mindset. I really want this. I want to get healthy and I want to improve my stamina and endurance.
Another reason is that Derek will adjust his “lesson plan” to fit my needs and abilities and it is done in a way that doesn’t make me feel bad.
Having difficulty with an activity is okay because I know that eventually that activity will come back and I will be able to do it. That is a “high” that can’t be put into a pill.
Last I am feeling more energized and my endurance has increased with each and every workout. In summary I can say that it feels so great knowing that I am doing good things for my health.
