Guest blog post by Transformation Tuesday success story Aimee Oosting…
I wasn’t always the skinny, athletic type. I was healthy and had a little meat on the bones as they say.
I met the man that would be my husband and I got really comfortable, ate what I wanted and enjoyed life.
Then I gave birth to healthy full term twins and my body was never the same. I got lazy and complacent, I just didn’t care anymore.
I tried every diet and workout known to man. I ran even though I hated it. The only thing I didn’t try was surgery which was not even an option.
One day it just clicked, I needed to get healthy again. So my friend Natasha and I went to a local gym and got a membership. We we’re doing all we could to get into shape and feel better about ourselves.
We thought it was working but then a friend told us about bootcamp and we soon realized we weren’t doing anything at that other gym.
Within a few weeks I was starting to keep up with everyone that had been going awhile and I was getting stronger. I had never been able to do an actual push-up and now I can do one or two and when I have to run I don’t dread it (as much).
LiveFit has given me a lot more than strength in my muscles, it has given me the strength in my mind.
I have been struggling with some things going on in my life and it’s the only place I feel like I don’t have to think about anything except getting in shape, being healthy, and kicking butt with my friends.
I tell anyone that will listen that it’s “my happy place!”
For anyone looking to start this journey I would say, give LiveFit a chance, don’t start at another gym.
The trainers here are amazing, they really care about those who want to be here and want to put in the work.
The workouts can be intense, but after you’re done the accomplishment you feel for doing it outweighs any soreness you may feel. Think of it as your reward for a job well done!
I am not near where I want to be yet, but I am a lot closer than when I started and it’s a great feeling when someone notices.
