October 28, 2014 was my Transformation Tuesday. How happy I was to get chosen!

I wish I could say that I had stayed on track over the last 14 months, but as you all know that wasn’t the case.

Everyone has stress in their life, how we handle it tells our story.

In January 2015 I started a job. After 13 years of being a stay at home mom I thought it would be easy and kind of nice to get out of the house.

I never thought it would have a negative effect on me. The crazy hours, added stress at home, lack of meal planning and exercise had taken a toll on me.

I wasn’t eating properly, barely working out, and I was tired all the time.

It seemed like my family was falling apart. By June, due to circumstances out of my control, I had to leave my job, my family needed me.

I slowly started going back to bootcamp.

I was miserable and embarrassed. I didn’t want people to see how much I had failed or see their disappointment.

In August we started a new challenge, I was at my highest weight I had ever been! I was devastated, then I got angry.

I decided enough was enough! I wasn’t quitting, not this time. It worked once and it would work again.

This time I truly listened to Derek. My fitness pal became my best friend, and I ate better.

I started eating at the right times with the right kinds of foods. I worked out 5 days a week some days doing doubles!

Every day I posted what day it was, I wanted to keep a positive attitude, stay present.

I didn’t want to look back, I wanted to keep moving forward!!

By the end of that Challenge I dropped 16 scale lbs. and 15.80 lbs. of fat (pure fat). I was on a mission, I had a goal I wanted to reach! before and after fitness weight loss boot camp

I would set small monthly goals and before I knew it I was reaching them!

I was very worried about the holidays, added stress, holiday foods, and parties. Then we did the 21 day challenge in November and that was awesome.

I’m not a protein shake drinker, I don’t really like it, but I made it work and was down 6.6lbs. I keep doing that challenge through December and lost 5.5lbs. I wasn’t as on the ball as I should have been, but I didn’t fall off track.

Every day I make the choice to keep on this journey.

I’ve had my ups and downs, roadblocks, struggles, injuries, sad & happy moments. We all do, that’s part of life, it’s how we chose to live it, that is what matters.

I’m happier and healthier, a better mom, wife and friend because I chose to be!

I know it’s possible, because I’ve done it twice and I know you can do it. It’s all there for you.
