“I’ll start tomorrow” The infamous saying that so many people use when it comes to dieting or exercising and that I myself had starting saying on a daily basis.

My changing moment where I really did start tomorrow was the day my favorite shorts no longer fit.

The slogan “just because it zips doesn’t mean it fits” became a little too real for me!

I then messaged high school friend Rolondo (yes at that moment) and was asking him about the bootcamp that I always seen him tagged at on Facebook.

Of course, he had me sold, and I had signed up just in time for the 21 flat day belly challenge!

This was perfect because my stomach was my main concern. No, I was not “fat” but I felt the weight gain and the
bloating was there.

Those 2 for 1 drinks full of sugar and half off appetizers on girl’s nights were starting to show. My eating habits were out of control and I needed a change.

The hardest part wasn’t my first day, the hardest part was making the mental commitment to do this and the physical part as well.

It was going back 8 years to high school that I had actually exercised. I joked to friends that I was so out of shape I was going to puke, and well my 2nd day it happened.

When the challenge ended I was beyond proud of myself. I had dropped 7.2% of body fat in such a short amount of time!Liana women boot camp muscle strength

Here it is 5 months later and I am hooked and have never felt better about myself. 

I am not where I want to be but not where I used to be. Next goal: Abs!!

I completely changed my diet and surprisingly stick to it pretty well because as Derek says “abs are made in the kitchen.”

I always tell anyone who is looking into joining to just bite the bullet and do it.

Not only did I learn so much about myself but the fellow bootcamper’s stories are so inspiring that it motivates you to keep going.

Thank you to the amazing trainers at LiveFit for constantly proving why I love this gym and pushing me to become better.

I have a new found love for health and fitness and am proud to say I am back in my favorite shorts!
