Transformation Tuesday blog by Erica Gardner
My Livefit journey began August 2014 when my neighbor/friend Angela Baird told me about her bootcamp.
After several weeks of vacations, excuses and staying busy at work I finally said it was time. I was tired of being FAT!
I hated getting dressed to go out and almost cried every time I had to pick out an outfit. My excuse was baby weight but my sweet Savannah was 3.
I have never been a stick figure and never want to be. But I knew it was time to get on track.
August 25, 2014 “Weight Wednesday” was my day one, I got there and I was scared. After the 30 minute workout I thought I was going to die.
Even though it was hard I was hooked!
Once the first challenge was over and I saw changes physically and mentally I knew I wasn’t gonna give up. Plus getting compliments was a nice ego boost too.
Yes I live a crazy nonstop busy shift work kind of life but that wasn’t gonna stop me from wanting to make big changes.
After a few months I started to feel comfortable in my own skin.
I have had some hiccups in my fitness journey but I refuse to give up.
I love the support I get from my loving husband, daughter, family and friends. I have met some amazing men and woman who are always there to keep me going. I am proud of where I have come and I will be forever grateful to all the trainers.
Since I started I have gone from a size 14 to a 10. I can’t remember the last time I was a 10.
Now the struggle is finding new cute “smaller” clothes. But that is a struggle I will take.
I am stronger, more confident and proud of where I am today. I have muscles!!
I still have my “fat bikini” pictures on my bathroom mirror. I see it daily which gives me the motivation to never go back to that person.
I know it’s silly but one day I can’t wait to wear a fitted white shirt.
I don’t know where my fitness journey will take me but I can tell you it will be to a healthier happier place. Next goal is to get my nutrition in check.
For those that have the “newbie” fear all I can say is this is the perfect place to be!
The support is never ending.
I love my Livefit family!
