Transformation Tuesday blog by: Holly Mancini

It is hard for me to talk about my weight loss and fitness journey as it has been an emotional roller coaster over the past few years.

Before I start writing about my struggles and experiences over the past few years, I just want to say that I hope my story inspires some of you reading it.

To all the single moms, those who work multiple jobs, those who feel like they just don’t have the time to do something for themselves, I’m here to tell you that you can too.

Bootcamp and my LiveFit family have been lifesaving and I couldn’t imagine my life without my fitness family.

I heard about bootcamp a few years ago after having my daughter through a few friends at work. I was struggling to lose weight, I was exhausted all the time, and I literally had no confidence or self-esteem.

I was at one of my lowest points in life, spending all of my time taking care of my daughter and trying to get through nursing school.

I started off strong and I consistently attended bootcamp sessions at least 4 times a week. I felt a little better about myself, but I didn’t see the results I wanted to because I wasn’t fully committed.

I found it hard to find time to eat being a single mom working full time and in school, which continued to slow my metabolism and hinder my weight loss and results. I gave up myself and fell back into the same black hole I was in before.

I quit bootcamp for a while, making excuses as to why I couldn’t attend.

I couldn’t even look at myself in a mirror because it was depressing.

Eventually, I went back and still I didn’t give it 100% as guilt kicked in for taking time away from my daughter and I quickly quit on myself again. I will beat her

A few months later I became a distributor for a health and wellness company called It Works and decided that if I was going to share these products with people, that I needed to be a product of the product. I started working out on my own, eating healthy, and using the all-natural supplements and products to help me kick start my journey. I lost a substantial amount of wait during this time.

I decided to come back in May of this year when I knew I had the right mindset to really change my life from the inside out.

I texted Derek and told him that I was thinking about applying for the Little Black Dress program and he responded that “that might just be what I needed.”

Not only did I start the LBD program, I attended bootcamp 6 days a week, PT with Rich twice a week, as well as attend other training sessions.

When I received my numbers at the LBD dinner, I was literally blown away!

I didn’t even believe I lost over 10.5% body fat in just 5 weeks. I worked HARD, not only while I was working out, but with my nutrition.

My future goals are to continue to push myself and give 100% during each workout.

Bootcamp has helped me mentally and physically in so many ways. I can now say that I am a much happier, healthier person and a great role model for my three-year-old daughter. fitness transformation live fit

This is only the beginning for me and I can’t wait to continue to see my progress.

If I could tell anyone in my position some advice to motivate them I would tell them that it is so important to take time to take care of yourself, don’t feel guilty, you deserve to look and feel good, and most importantly become the healthiest version of you for you and your family.

If I can do it, anyone can do it!

I just want to thank all the amazing trainers that have seen my potential this whole time and have continued to give me the push I needed, even throughout the rough times.
