In early November each year on the tails of Halloween, gyms around the country start looking like a ghost town.
There hasn’t been a Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig commercial on TV for months.
Fitness, health and diet ALL take a back seat.
So why have I promoted a transformation challenge from the middle of October until the end of November for the past 3 years?
Because I’m different and so are my clients!
We focus on constant improvement in all aspects of our health and fitness.
5 weeks ago we embarked upon the “F-your Scale Team Transformation Challenge” where all bootcampers were broken up into 4 different teams, with one of our LiveFit trainers in charge of each team.
Each participant started the challenge by getting their entire measurements and body fat percentage tested.
For the first 3 days each person completed the most amount of reps possible in 10 different exercises designed to test and challenge upper and lower body strength, endurance and agility in a 1 minute time period.
Each person was asked to workout a minimum of 3 days per week and no strict diets were given to follow.
For the next 5 weeks I just let bootcamp, the bootcamp environment and my daily genius of exercise creativity take over and do the work!
(that was a grammatical pat on the back to myself) 🙂
Our goals were simple:
- Get Stronger
- Become for Physical, Agile and Athletic
- Build Stamina and Endurance
- Gain Friendships and Accountability
Here are the results:
Chris Ganaway was our Overall Most Improved Bootcamper by completing 216 more reps in 10 different exercises (avg of 21.6 reps/exercise!) and losing 3 inches off his belly!
Cathy Ganaway (Chris’ wife) was our Most Improved Female Bootcamper by completing 183 more reps in 10 different exercises and losing 4 inches off her belly!
Jennifer Kolodziej was our Top Female & Overall Bootcamper after completing a total of 867 reps, including 55 push ups in only 1 minute!
Travis Meares was our Top Male Bootcamper after completing a total of 807 reps, including 61 push ups in only 1 minute!
Ashley Contreras was our 3rd place Most Improved Bootcamper after increasing a total of 160 reps, losing 7.43% bodyfat, 19.93 pounds of fat and gaining 9.73 pounds of muscle!
Alyssa Keyser was our 4th place Most Improved Bootcamper after increasing a total of 153 reps, losing 8.08% bodyfat, 19.36 pounds of fat and gaining 8.9 pounds of muscle!
Monica Collins was our 5th place Most Improved Bootcamper after increasing a total of 164 reps, losing 6.24% bodyfat and 9.96 pounds of fat!

You cannot take a back seat approach to anything in life and expect greatness.
You have to do something.
You have to make a conscious and consistent effort towards something you want, or you will never get it.
You also cannot finish anything that you never start.
Hard work and change pays off…
These people, especially our overall winner Chris Ganaway, took themselves out of their comfort zones to get a result they have never gotten before.
They worked out during a time of year that they never have before.
They worked out on nights they were busy, tired, sore and tired.
I’m sure there were a few nights that were cold, a few days that it rained or whatever excuse ‘other’ people use.
Not us. We do not accept excuses.
You expect results from us and we expect even more from you.
Why?
Because we are different!
Expect more from yourself and want a future without physical limitations and filled with confidence.
It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it.
