Guest blog post by Transformation Tuesday success story Paula Sharkey:

I was lazing around one day as usual unhappy with the way I looked and felt, when I got a letter in the mail announcing my high school reunion just a few months away.

Before starting bootcamp, I’m on the far left

To say I panicked was an understatement. I was the heaviest I’d ever been and certainly 60 pounds more than I was in high school.

I had been going to the chiropractor regularly and noticed a sign about bootcamp so I inquired.

I checked it out online and found that it was only a dollar for the first two weeks.

Since I had never done this before, I recruited my daughter to go along with me. She was not happy but said she would do it for me.

I was so out of shape that during those first two weeks I found I had muscles in places I couldn’t believe existed. All I could think of was that I’d never be able to do the things that everyone around me was doing.

That was six months ago.

In those six months I have gained confidence in myself, met a group of wonderful people that is the boot camp family, in addition to great trainers, Derek, Richard, Rich and Sara. Everyone, including the trainers, encourage and support you.

I have lost inches, weight and body fat along my journey.

I feel better than I have felt my whole life even in high school.

I have more energy and confidence than ever before.

I have always had knee problems and have had some injuries along the way but the trainers are always there to help and get you through.

My daughter and I are closer than ever. We have continued this journey together and support each other completely and that’s a bonus. In fact, she was a transformation success story herself just a few weeks ago.

I would certainly encourage anyone who is even remotely thinking about this to join as soon as possible. It will be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself.

It’s a gift that keeps on giving.

That high school reunion I mentioned has come and gone but I continue to give myself the gift that is Boot Camp.

I’m going to continue this journey to be the best me that I can be!
