Rolando Saldivar was a familiar face already when he walked into our giant bootcamp doors on his first day. A few months prior, he had ran the Mud Endeavor night run with over 60 Live Fit bootcampers and finished towards the top of the pack.

He was already pretty lean. He was already pretty strong. He had already lost over 40 pounds on his own through diet and exercise.

What does this guy have to prove?

As it turns out…EVERYTHING!

Since the beginning Rolo has had the hunger to push a little harder, lift a little heavier and endure a little longer.

I’ve not only watched his body transform during this process but, also his mental strength and confidence in his abilities.

This past weekend highlighted the beginning of a long competition journey for our friend, as he placed 3rd in the Gateway Classic physique competition in Lake City Florida!!

Here is his story….

The way I got started on this path of fitness has always been self motivation. I joined LiveFit bootcamps in the beginning of September of 2014. Thanks to the recommendation of my good friend Claudia Bender.

Since joining, I could say that my life has never been the same.

I have truly grown a passion for living a fitness lifestyle!

When I joined my l was very humbled by throwing up when I got home that first day. Though nervous to go back, decided to continue to go.

I suffered a tear in my hamstring back in November 2014, around the same time when I decided to start training to compete for the first time. This held me back in certain exercises that I had to work around in my training.

I’ve learned so much from the trainers that we have.

Anything is possible so long as you work hard for what you want to accomplish.

Seeing fellow bootcampers train as hard as they do definitely motivates me to train hard all the time.

A future goal of mine is to be able to compete as a bodybuilder one day. I plan on working hard towards that goal.

My lifestyle now has been something my family has been able to understand and respect it. I plan on working hard to reach my present and future goals.

I hope that my dedication and hard work can inspire anyone!

After competing this year, I learned so much about myself and what goals I want to pursue. I want to continue competing and work my way up to my goal as a bodybuilder.

I’ve got great trainers and with their guidance I can achieve my goals.
