The look on my face after day #1 says it all!

The look on my face after day #1 says it all!

I started this journey with the worst possible attitude.

My mother came to me one day and said “ In 2 weeks we are signing up for boot camp. My Doctor told me all about it and I don’t want to start alone. It’s $1 for the first two weeks and after that you can quit.”

I thought she was CRAZY!! I had every excuse why this was not for me.

I have 4 kids, I work full time, my husband works full time at night, I am so not athletic, and I have asthma for goodness sake!!

The truth was, I was so unhappy with my body and the way I felt, that I was not ready to face all of it at once.

So the first day came and we pulled up to weight Wednesday.

I saw people carrying bricks outside in the rain, flipping monster tires, and lifting all kinds of weights. I believe my first words were I’m not doing that!

I barely survived that first week but I promised my mom 2 weeks so I would stick it out for her.

By the end of the two weeks I was hooked. I had become “That person.” I was checking in on Facebook every night, I was constantly talking about it.

I couldn’t believe that I actually had more energy than I have had in years!!!

It is my favorite part of the day. I have become determined to do what it takes and stick with it.

Even if that means running around the building with my inhaler in my bra or dragging myself to boot camp after a 10 hour day at work.

I have learned not to care so much what other people think or how I look. (Anyone who has worked out with me knows it’s always amusing to watch me run around tires.)  It matters how I feel about myself. I am doing things I never thought possible!

I very rarely use my inhaler anymore at boot camp or even in my ever day life.

I have the energy to play with the kids that I didn’t have before.

I am fitting into clothes I haven’t worn in 8 years!!

It has not been easy. Every day is hard work. Every day I discover muscles I didn’t even know existed and every day I push through and show up.

And I get to do it all with my mom!

How awesome is that??? I get to watch her change her life at the same time.

She’s doing things she never thought she could do. She motivates me to be better and to work hard.

The trainers, Derek, Rich, and Richard are amazing. They remembered my name after the first session and made every workout feel like a personal workout just for me.

They push me in the way that lets me know they care but they won’t let me get away with slacking off.

I have met incredible people here, new friends that share the same struggles and care so much about every one succeeding together.

No one gets left behind. It truly is a family that I can’t believe I have been lucky enough to become a part of.

I still have a long way to go and I still have a lot to learn but I am on the right path. Nicole

I am a firm believer that if I can do this ANYONE can do this!!!

Seriously…sign up now. It will change your life.

I promise and I will be at the door to greet you the same way everyone did for me.
