I say this all the time but it is worth repeating often: it takes change to make change.
Here I am at the end of week #3 of being a new dad, with a new schedule and priorities, sending you my first email in over a week.
This has been weighing heavy on my mind A LOT lately.
Writing to you, all of my current clients and nearly 3,000 former clients every morning has become a routine in my life for almost 10 years.
In fact in the last 3 years out of 1,095 total days I have probably written you close to 1,050 emails. It’s a part of my routine and it has become part of the routine for so many others to start their day reading them.
Myself, our trainers and our accountability coaches have so many great conversations with people just like you everyday that are struggling with…
➡️ getting rid of stubborn (or extra jiggly) body parts,
➡️ motivation and accountability,
➡️ meal planning and dinner recipe ideas,
➡️ injury modifications,
➡️ scheduling issues
…and so many other personal and fitness-related struggles.
The answers and support to these questions and conversations become the topics for the following day’s email to you.
It’s real life strategies for real life problems that worked for someone just like you less than 24 hours before you are reading them.
That’s why every email I write to you is so personal and relevant…because it’s written for you and you can use it to help your life today!
We all struggle with the same things.
We all think our struggles are unique to us.
We are all wrong.

Solution to my current personal struggles…
I battle demons in my brain each day as the clock gets closer to noon and the realization of another morning passed without sending you an email.
The more days that pass, the more defeated I feel that I have not completed my mission and it gets harder to restart.
So as I was feeding baby Bryn for the 4am “dad shift” this morning I repeated to myself: it takes change to make change.
Then BAM something so simple solved one of the biggest causes of guilt I’ve had my life lately…
I have been so stuck on how I’m going to accomplish my goal, instead of just accomplishing my goal.
I have been so focused on needing to write to you in the mornings because that has always been my routine, instead of just realizing that getting the message to you is the ultimate goal
So now, whenever I get a free minute is when I am going to write to you!
Then that got me thinking again…
We all struggle with the same things.
We all think our struggles are unique to us.
We are all wrong!
Stop and ask yourself these 3 questions:
1.) What are some of the goals that you have been failing to reach lately?
2.) Can you try to accomplish it in a different manner, schedule or routine?
3.) Are you letting the voice of “how I used to do it” get in the way of “how I need to do it” to hold you back?
I’d love to hear your replies to these 3 questions. Click reply and share!
Let’s use this humpday lesson as a midweek slump-buster to change the course of our week and kick some butt in the process.
