If you have listened to or read anything I’ve ever sent to you then you know that I love quotes.

More importantly quotes for motivational and successful people.

Why? Because without ever meeting someone you can get a small glimpse into their mindset, perspective and inner workings that make their brain tick the way it does.

At 7 months pregnant, Erica is way outside of her "Comfort Zone"

At 6 months pregnant, Erica is way outside of her “Comfort Zone”

So when someone tells you to “get out of your comfort zone” what does that mean?

Is that just some higher level fancy schmancy psychological rhetoric?

How do you perceive and define that question in your own life?

For me it means trying something new.

Trying something different.

Making yourself vulnerable to failure but getting that much closer to success all of the same time.

How is that possible?

Generally for a new outcome to present itself a new action had to proceed it.

Wayne Gretzky was famous for saying “You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.”

Michael Jordan was famous for saying “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.”

So to get results that you have never gotten (or someone else has never tried to accomplish) you need to do something or try something different than anyone has ever done.

We have all seen those crazy stories online about a pregnant woman doing Olympic lifts in a crossfit workout or running in a marathon weeks before giving birth.

Everytime I see one of those stories it not only motivates me but also makes me very proud to be in the profession I am in.

To see a woman step so far out of her comfort zone in one of the most uncomfortable times of her life, basically gives me a slap in the face for any time I ever want to take a rest day again!

At any given time throughout the year at our boot camp there is anywhere between one and as many as 5 pregnant women working out side by side with all of the other boot camp women and men.

We currently have three of these amazing women working out daily at our boot camp. One of them is my great friend Gordana, another has not made her announcement yet and lastly is the person I am writing to you about today…

Her name is Erica Gardner. One of Tampa PD’s finest, a proud mother of a beautiful daughter and wife.

Simply put, she’s a freakin BADASS!

At 6 months pregnant you would never know that Erica was pregnant by watching her work out on a daily basis.

She works within her limitations but still hustles with everything she does.

She lifts and she runs.

She sweats and she grunts.

She is also healthy, happy and strong.

Her reason for continuing to work out is simply that she did not want to get lazy during her pregnancy.

She has conquered that goal.

Check out these great highlight clips and interview with Erica herself…

So the next time that you are faced with a new challenge or looking to conquer a new goal, just take action.

You never know what you might be able to accomplish unless you try.

Leave regrets and mediocrity for someone else…

Or I’ll send Erica to kick your butt 🙂
