It’s Friday and a day most people feel unfulfilled and overstressed, yet look forward to the weekend even though they’ll do nothing to get ahead in their life and continue to procrastinate and stack the deck against themselves.
Is this you? If so then today’s message is EXTREMELY important for you….
Stop being half committed.
Even though you might think being half committed will get you half the results, it won’t. It will leave you disappointed and frustrated!
Each time you second-guess yourself, each time you fall off course and each time you self sabotage is like coming to a complete stop at a red light on US-19.
To get started again it’s going to take more acceleration, use more gas and require more effort.
There’s no shortcut to getting healthy or getting the body you desire and deserve. You have to put in the time, you have to put in the reps and you have to fuel the fire properly.
Motivation vs. Momentum…
You are not always going to be motivated, but momentum is much more powerful. Momentum helps create powerful, life lasting habits and rituals that will always guide you in the right direction.
Motivation comes and goes, but momentum doesn’t ask for permission because it relies on hardwired reactions.
Just like a basketball player who puts in 1,000 extra shots after practice each week, do you think when the game is on the line he’s relying on motivation or momentum?
Just like the Olympic ice skater or gymnast, do you think they are thinking about their next move or relying on the momentum of their training?
Just like a president giving a speech, do you think…..XXXXXXXXX okay wait, moving on. Bad example 🙂 🙂
I joke but when you rely on motivation, it’s easy to get sidetracked and derailed. When you focus on your training, your actions become second nature due to momentum.
After all what is the definition of training?
1. | teach (a person or animal) a particular skill or type of behavior through practice and instruction over a period of time. |
2. | be taught through practice and instruction. |
3. | cause (a mental or physical faculty) to be sharp, discerning, or developed as a result of instruction or practice. |
But, what is the definition of potential?
1. | having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something more in the future. |
^^Don’t let your potential go untapped. Don’t talk about your potential in the past tense. Your time is now.
So the message today is simple. Don’t leave anything on the table. Go all in and go all out!
Each day, each win, and each struggle is your training.
No matter if it’s your job, your body or your marriage you have to be fully committed, chips “All In”!
Read this final sentence over and over and over again!!!!
Because there’s nothing worse than looking back and realizing you could have done more, been more or never were at all…
Committed to your fitness success,
D
