Looking back over the past 4 months as a trainer and business owner, I’ve recognized a BIG glaring mistake that I wanted to share with you today.
The reason I want to share my personal mistakes is because it will 100% make a bigger and better impact on your health and fitness.

The mistake I’ve made most over the years is relying on LiveFit “the gym” instead of emphasizing what Live Fit really means.
Live | verb – to remain alive
Fit | adjective – 1.) in good health, especially because of regular physical exercise. 2.) of a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet the required purpose.
After looking back at the last 4 months and how much LiveFit was involved in peoples nutrition planning, accountability check-ins, assigning creative home-workouts, community and camaraderie I realize how much bigger this really is.
Did people miss the LiveFit “the gym” and the big metal building? Of course!
But if your health is going to be valuable and important to you in 20, 40 or 60 years then it’s going to require much more that just going to our facility.
It’s going to take a dedicated daily effort to moving and stretching more, hydrating ourselves, fueling our body with healthy food and having the trust of an accountability coach in your corner.
Over the last 4 months we’ve been able to help people lost 10, 15, 20+ pounds without ever stepping foot in our facility. Some of them have never even met our trainers face-to-face or live in this state.
The building is not as important as your results.
The building is one of many tools you have to get yourself the best results possible, but it’s the sum of your consistent daily routines that’s going to benefit you most.
To me health and fitness is a beautiful trifecta: nutrition, exercise, accountability
#1) Nutrition because you’re going to eat WAY more often than you will ever exercise. Chances are you’ll eat every day of your life, so your biggest impact will come when focusing here first.
Remember you cannot out-train a bad diet!
#2) Exercise because if you don’t use it, you lose it. The more stiff, tired and weak we become as humans the less motivated we are to do things. This includes eating well.
While healthy eating is #1, you need exercise to help use to food you eat as fuel for your entire body- skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular systems.
#3) Accountability because we all need community, socialization, goals, deadlines, dependability and structure. While we like to think that we don’t, quarantine proved this for most people.
People need people. We need to share our ideas, our wins and our struggles with others. This is why your coach is more important than the building!
So later on tonight when you’re planning your meals and packing your gym clothes for tomorrow (good idea- hint hint!), start thinking about all the small habits and changes you can start making that will impact your life in 20, 40, 60 years.
This is much more manageable and easier to accomplish, instead of thinking how strict you need to diet or how hard you need to workout.
Remember that if we want our body’s to reward us and treat us right, we should reward it and treat it right. You get out what you put in!
