How to use cheat meals to lose fat faster

Weekends are very important to the progress of many of my clients success. The body continuously needs change in order to continue to lose weight. If you were to continue doing the same thing day after day, the body and your metabolism would become accustomed to how you are eating and that would now become the “norm”.  They say the definition of insantity is repeating the same steps over and over, while expecting a different result.

Lets not go insane while dieting…it is stressful enough!!

In order to avoid this from happening, you need to take weekly “breaks” from your weekly eating plan. So, on the weekends, you can consume any foods you would like but… IN MODERATION! Moderation is the key word. If you have been perfect throughout the week, you can allow yourself more freedom on the weekends. If your eating was slightly off during the week, then you should limit your consumption of “bad” foods on the weekend.

If you skipped the first sentence of the last paragraph, go back and read it again….and again….and again!!

“….breaks from your weekly eating plan.”

The key to that sentence is to have a plan. Stimulate, don’t annihilate. Go into your weekend with the same calculated plan that you attacked your week with.

Have fun with it. Reward yourself!

Throughout the week, if you have a craving for a ‘non-diet’ food, write it down in your meal log or post it on your refrigerator. Use that as your motivation everytime you go to the fridge for the rest of the week. Know that if you commit for 5 days, you can reward yourself on the weekend.

The beauty of doing this every weekend is that you will avoid a rebound if you ever come off of this program. Essentially, you will be having weekly planned rebounds. By eating this way, you will have steady weekly progress, but your daily progress will be similar to 3 steps forward and one step back.
