“A picture is worth a thousand words”…The difference between your frustration and your transformation

Have you taken your progress pictures recently?

Have you taken them EVER???

How do you know if you’ve had results? We are all our own worst enemy after all, so can you really trust the mirror? Can you trust your scale?

The answers are NO and NO.

I client text me yesterday saying… “I haven’t taken any pics so far. I know I should have by now. It’s awkward for me.”

Ummmm it’s awkward for EVERYONE, myself included!

It’s hard to take a picture of yourself knowing you aren’t at your best or where you’d like your physique to be. But, when you take your progress pictures every 2 weeks you’ll start to see changes you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.

Progress is progress and as long as something is happening, everything is happening!

A picture is objective instead of being subjective. It’s like having a different look at yourself… instead of overlooking the tiny daily changes, you see a snapshot of a big 2 week progression.

==> One time you’ll notice the fat around your neck disappearing.

==> One time you’ll notice new shadowing in your shoulders and arms.

==> One time you’ll notice your smile is a little bigger.

==> One time you’ll notice that your shoulders and hips are broader than your belly revealing a new hour glass shape.

And then finally one day in 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years you will look back at your first picture and realize, “HOLY SH!T I’M ONE OF THOSE TRANSFORMATIONS!”

It’s motivating, it’s real and it’s YOU.

And then all of the sudden, you’re proud of yourself when you see your new pictures compared to your originals.

Greatness is waiting on the other side of your fears. If taking 3 quick pictures every 2 weeks helps to keep you accountable, focused and feeling accomplished…JUST DO IT!!!

Committed to your fitness success,

PS…not sure how to take your pictures? Here’s a few tips…

1. use the same background, lighting and outfit preferably
2. have the lighting (or natural light) behind the cameraman, facing you
3. wear something form fitting like gym clothes, sports bra/shorts or bathing suit
4. have camera man sitting down so the picture is taken at waist height
5. keep an air gap between your body, legs and arms

Take a FRONT, SIDE (arms up or by side) and REAR facing picture

โœ… Most importantly DON’T FORGET TO SMILE ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
