Do you have all the right ambitions but just never enough follow through?

Does it feel like you keep swinging for the fences year after year but keep striking out?

You hear it every year, “next year will be my year!”

What is it about the calendar switching over that makes people think they are guaranteed a fresh start and a new beginning?

If you keep doing the same things you did this year, you are more than likely going to have the same results you did this year.

In order to have change you need to make change.

Tomorrow is a brand new day just like January 1st, so what makes tomorrow any different than New Years day?

If you are reading this blog then chances are there is a motivation deep inside you that needs to be refined, focused and directed into attainable action steps.

The reason why New Year’s is so popular is because it’s a deadline. Much like a deadline to get things done, New Year’s works in reverse in essence that is a chance to finish up on all the things we know are wrong and gives us a definitive date to make a change.

Deadlines are essential to success.

Read that again… Deadlines are essential to success.

Think back to school at how many times you probably crammed last minute for a test or finished your homework last minute before it needed to be done. But, you got it done. Goal achieved.

Now think into your work experiences. Was there a time that you had to set a deadline and you failed to meet it? Probably not unless you are no longer working at that job 🙂

Deadlines are powerful because they force us to take action. Whenever there is an action, there is a result.

Sometimes the result may not be favorable to what you are looking to achieve but at least you can redirect your focus and learn from your mistakes. Secret to fitness success

When you take no action you learn nothing, you achieve nothing and you gain nothing.

So if deadlines lead to actions and actions lead to results, where do we start?

The answer lies within your goals.

1.) Do you have a goal?

2.) Have you identified your goal?

3.) Is your goal measurable and attainable?

4.) Have you broken down your goal into several attainable steps with designated benchmark deadlines to achieve them to ensure you are staying on track?

The key to this step is to identify only one goal at a time and one goal only. You need to give 100% focus to exactly what it’s going to take to achieve your goal.

That means picturing what it will look like when you achieve your goal and imagining how it will feel when you achieve your goal.

Entrench yourself in your own success so much that you can’t imagine what it would be like to not achieve your goals.

Become emotionally attached.

Once you achieve this level of focus it’s impossible not to reach your goals unless you quit.

Will it be easy? Hopefully not because if it is your goal is not big enough!

I’m confident if you eliminate the “NOISE” and distractions around you, focus on one fitness goal at a time and give your goal 100% dedication that you can achieve EVERYTHING that you want to achieve.
