There is something that happens when death is present in your life. It forces you to take a look at your surroundings, and if you’re an empath like me if forces you to put yourself in other people’s shoes.
The news of Kobe Bryant passing yesterday shocked the world.
Personally I’m not much of a basketball fan these days, although I was much more during my childhood growing up. But it’s not about that.
It’s about legacy, fulfilling your destiny and living up to your potential.
I’ve been fortunate to live over the past 36 years and watch legends like Kobe, Jordan, Jeter and Brady. Champions that not only impacted their teams, but also their individual sports, city’s and on a bigger scale, fans all over the world.
They have also changed their family’s legacy and set the bar higher for future generations long after they are gone from this planet.
Today isn’t about workouts, or stretches or what you should be eating. Today’s email is about your efforts, your impact and your legacy…
Are you doing enough good in your life that will effect your kids and family after you’re gone?
Are you making enough impact in your community and charities that touch your heart?
Are you the guiding light of your family, kids and friends that shines the way for other’s to help find their way?
There are A LOT of days in our lives, but we aren’t always guaranteed more days. It’s not “how long you live” that’s as impactful as “how you lived” that lives on beyond your physical years on this planet.
So…
Have you made the most of your opportunities?
Have you told the people you love what they mean to you?
Have you done all you can to unlock all your abilities and potential?
Each day, each minute and each second is a new opportunity for you. Just remember that the next second, minute and day is not guaranteed.
Do something today that changes the trajectory of your life, your family’s life and your legacy. It might seem minor to you, but you never know what your efforts look like through the little eyes that are watching YOU!
Move the chess piece one move in the right direction to see that to fruition.
Thank you for reading.
