I’ve always had a passion for working out and doing some type of activity; whether it was running 5ks, mud runs, half marathons, or playing any leisure sport.

I’m not a ‘scale person’ meaning I’m not one to obsess about the number, as long as I FEEL good …

In mid 2014 I hit the highest weight in my life, more than when I was pregnant.

I felt horrible all around and I knew I couldn’t continue to live like this. It wasn’t healthy and more importantly it wasn’t ME.

After doing a routine of planet fitness or my gym at work, a friend and I decided to give LiveFit a try in March 2015.

I can say to this day I’ve never thrown up, but it’s been a close call a few times!

I was hooked and never looked back. I love doing challenges and something different everyday!

I had always wanted to compete, seeing what I was capable of. My first goal was last year before my 30th Birthday, but I had too many obstacles, so it didn’t end up happening.

So this past October I again had set my mind to accomplish that goal.

It wasn’t easy by any means, definitely a challenge both physically and mentally. I had amazing support throughout, so thankful for the people that lifted me up when I needed it.

My parents and my girls were always there for me, and each week I pushed harder.

I was also proud of the example that I held for my daughter.

I think competing again will be more of a motivation to myself. To rise above what I did before and crush some more goals.

You can really do anything you put to your mind to and focus on … and with good people by your side, anything is possible!

If you’re willing to try something new, step out of your comfortable zone, work hard, and love the process then this is where you need to be.

Don’t worry about the small stuff, and just go for it!

That’s something I’m going to try and do for 2018 as well.

Stop the excuses and do something for yourself, be a little selfish, you deserve it!
