This week’s Transformation Tuesday success story is about an amazing woman, Elicia Nystrom.

“I had been going to a gym for several years, but I didn’t see a significant change in my body or health.

I’m a belly dancer, and I wanted to find a way to tone my muscles and increase my flexibility. I also wanted to build muscle to help support my joints because I have arthritis.

I heard about boot camp from a friend at work and decided to try it.

I was relieved to find out that it wasn’t as hard as I had anticipated. I liked how the exercises change often – some of them were relatively easy for me, but some really challenged me.

The trainers and other boot camp members immediately put me at ease and encouraged me to “keep going” when I started to get tired.

It sounds silly, but I LOVE music and there is always great music playing while we exercise so my reps usually match the beat of the song.

Since I started boot camp, I’ve noticed more definition in my muscles, especially my arms and abs. I have more energy, flexibility and stamina.

There are still some days when I have to force myself to go after a long day at work, but I ALWAYS feel better after boot camp – like I could take on the world!” -Elicia

Derek here…

When I saw the name Elicia Nystrom pop up in my new client list I couldn’t believe it. “Mrs. Nystrom” as I knew her from Ridgewood High School was always a cheerful, happy person so I was excited to see a familiar face.

Since the beginning, Elicia has been training with our varsity bootcamp group of my most advanced clients. She said she liked that time because it fit her schedule best but, what she didn’t realize is that she was rising to the level of those around her.

Her consistency despite a busy work and social schedule has been the key to her success.

Nothing great happens easy or over night.

Like she says above, you just have to show up and have fun.

Make your workout your mental and physical outlet to let go and release the days frustrations.

Follow Elicia’s steps to success and you too might have a teeny tiny waistline  like hers at 47…she looks amazing!!
