Guest post by a current coaching client, Mrs. Tisa Futterman:

I have just finished my second week of boot camp. Amazingly, I actually attended every single day – morning and night!

I am immeasurably proud of myself for that! Yes, I am sore. Actually, I pulled a muscle in my lower abdominals this week. Yes, I am bug-bit. Yes, I got extremely sweaty and dirty.

But you know what? It was GOOD! It is good pain, I am super proud of those bug bites, and I feel AWESOME! I honestly do!

My whole family suffers from bipolar depression, manic depression, suicidal depression, you name it. I, myself, have only truly suffered medicated depression once and that was after my 6 year old daughter was struck down by brain cancer. Less than a year after her death, I was able, fully by the power of God, to wean myself off. This does not mean that I didn’t have my moments where I wanted to be alone, was more than just grumpy, or literally just wanted everyone to just go jump in a lake.

BUT, those moments, those times of just watching my kids play in the pool while I sat on a lounger brooding, are GONE!

In just two weeks!!

I am happier, I am full of energy, I can move better and not as painfully, and best of all, I have gone back to playing with my kids again!!

And, guess what?

I still weigh the same as I did two weeks ago.

WHO CARES?? I FEEL better!

I feel like I could take on the world!

And all from two half-hours a day of being sweaty, dirty, bug-bit, and pushed to the limits of what I think my body can handle at 42 years old, 6 foot tall, and 285 pounds!

As I keep telling my daughters, there is a difference between pain and uncomfortable!! Yup, this stuff is bloody uncomfortable!!! But it is so very, very GOOD!

Derek, “I want some mo’!!!” 😉
