Good morning and happy Sunday!

I hope this email finds you in great health on this morning of church, football and family.

It’s still quiet in the house and it gave me a few minutes to sit and reflect on this past month.

First of all, I have gotten a few emails lately about not sending out as many email tips and suggestions over the past month.

There are 3 reasons why:

  • I respect your email address and only want to send you the best possible content and not just fill up your inbox
  • We started keeping an active blog at www.DerekKuryliw.com with tips and news almost daily
  • We’ve been busy! 

This past month, I’ve had over 20 of my bootcamp and coaching clients compete in mudruns, 3 clients compete in bikini and bodybuilding competitions, one client competing in his first physique competition in 2 weeks as well as competing in two bodybuilding competitions myself.

Most people think that they could never complete a mudrun or enter a physique competition which is why this story about my bank teller, turned bootcamp client, turned mudrun participant, to a transformed 4th place bikini competitor in her first ever competition at this years St, Pete Muscle Classic such a great story.

I’ve been really blessed with being surrounded by great people in my life. I’ve learned from great roll models and influences that hard work is the only way to success. In turn, I’ve been fortunate to be able to pass on that same influence on to my training, bootcamp and nutritional coaching clients.

This past month, The Tampa Bay Times featured my LiveFit program on the front page of the Pasco Times section. To see, in words, the influence of my actions and leadership was humbling. It was the last thing I wanted. I wanted to highlight and give praise to the group of school teachers who spent their summer days with me, sweating and determined to go back to the new school year with more energy and focus then ever before. One of my teachers lost over 8″ in her stomach and 24 pounds over the 8 week summer program. To me, that’s a BIG STORY!

But I have to say, it was still pretty cool to see and read!

Lastly, the largest number of email questions I get is in regards to healthy dinner options. After just finishing my own personal 24 week bodybuilding competition diet, you’d think I’d be tired of eating chicken by now!

Not true, this guy has learned how to cook 🙂
