When I first met Lisa I had already known her husband Lloyd for a few months. Lloyd had already proven to be a hard worker, team player and had persevered through a previous knee injury. Lisa has proven to be from the same mold. In her short time with our bootcamp and private training programs she’s pushed the extra mile, been a supportive team player and overcome serious health ailments and injuries which she’ll discus below.

She’s also become an inspiration for their young daughter who loves going to bootcamp and cheering on her parents.

I love the Transformation Tuesday stories because they show the human side to the journey. They give a little glimpse behind the scenes of the struggles and adversities that each person has had to overcome.

Lisa’s story is no different. I hope you can find motivation in her success to start your own transformation!

Lisa's first experience with the crazy LiveFit Bootcamp crew

Lisa’s first experience with the crazy LiveFit Bootcamp crew

May 2014 I entered the Eye Mud Run with LiveFit Bootcamp. My husband Lloyd was already a member and thought it was the perfect opportunity to meet a few people from the group.
I’ve heard great things from him about everyone there and after meeting just a small handful of them, I was hooked. I felt like part of the LiveFit family before even stepping foot inside bootcamp.

Immediately I did my first two week trial at LiveFit and loved it.

October 2014, I attended a competition seminar at LiveFit. I instantly knew that competing would be the perfect goal that I had been looking for.

Very few were aware that September 28, 2014 marked my official 1 year of post surgery from my Hysterectomy.

Since the age of 22, I have had multiple battles with cervical cancer. After several laproscopic surgeries, a high risk pregnancy, a C-section, bladder surgery and a hysterectomy, I felt like I lost control over my own body.

So, marking my 1 year of cancer free, I made the decision to take control.

November 20, 2014 I took my first progress photos, started private training with Rich twice a week which lead to 3 days a week and attended bootcamp on a regular basis.

I even had an injury in which I ripped a ligament in my ankle and was on crutches for 3 weeks. My workouts were slightly adjusted and I still attended during the entire time on crutches. Yep, I was the crazy one in the back with one leg up on pallets doing the workout.

I had less than 5 months to hit my goal which was to get down in the 12s on body fat and to walk across the stage in a bikini fitness competition.

Many people looked at me and saw a small framed short girl and thought training would be a walk in the park for me. Little did they know that I had a long medical history involving 5 abdominal surgeries and starting at over 20% body fat.

I trained hard, stuck to a nutritional plan and on April 4, 2015, I walked across that stage at Jax Physique as a NPC Bikini Fitness Competitor. I was also at 12.98% body fat.

I have decided to continue my journey with a new goal. Walk across the stage at the Tampa Classic on June 6, 2015 in the 10s for body fat.

Attending bootcamp not only helped my self personally, but my family as well. Fitness and overall health has become more of a priority for my family. I catch my 6 year old daughter, Danica, doing various exercises like push ups, burpees, jumping jacks, etc.

It’s also great to see a lot of couples attending bootcamp together. It allows time together to work out and in some cases show your competitiveness which makes for a great work out!

I would recommend LiveFit bootcamp to everyone! They are very accommodating to everyone’s needs, personable and are there for you. The feeling of accomplishing your goals is amazing. I know because I made the goal with LiveFit Bootcamps.
