Growing up playing sports and all the injuries I endured, plus 7 years as the therapy assistant and later the director of our family’s chiropractic clinic and now 7 years of coaching bootcamp clients at LiveFit….

I have seen just about every injury over the course of the last 14 years.

I have also seen successful treatment protocols and I have also seem some off-the-wall treatment protocols. Some work, some don’t.

Today I want to share with you some of the most effective tools to increase your recovery time from workouts and injuries.

After all the best ABILITY you can have is AVAILABILITY when it comes to your transformation. Great things don’t happen while sitting on the sidelines.

In my experience I have found that most injuries come from the ground up.

What I mean by that is if your plantar fascia, Achilles, calves, hamstrings and glutes are tight then your low back, mid back and traps are experiencing some sort of discomfort. Without fail.

Now sometimes I’ll hear clients say “but it doesn’t hurt” as they bend over and can barely get a foot away from touching their toes.

But that’s not normal.

What I find is that since the body is so powerful at adapting to change, the client’s body has actually learned how to bend, twist and move in a limited but comfortable range-of-motion.

Your daily habits effect your health SO much more than you realize.

Check out this posture. Seems awful right?

Now without readjusting your posture, give yourself a self evaulation of your own posture. Does it look like this?

After years and years of repetitive bad posture, other functions of your body start to get effected.

Headaches, back pain, bad digestion, ankles, knees, hips and other pains start to creep up on you and the only help your medical doctor can provide is pills or the evil diagnosis of “well that’s just old age.”

You deserve better…better HEALTH, better LIFE and better ENERGY.

So here are my favorite rehab and prehab tools to help keep your body lose, pain-free and running at optimal function.

Stretch Strap- total body, hips & low back

Foam Roller- back, traps, hips & muscular pain

Rolling Pin/Pin Wheel- all scar tissue/muscular pain

Calf Rocker- plantar fascia, Achilles, ankles & calves

So if you have been waiting for your injury to “Get better on it’s own” or “Resting my injury” chances are you are still dealing with the EXACT same injury.

Except now your body has developed scar tissue around these injuries to help protect itself.

Otherwise you are only going to get tighter, stiffer and less mobile with age.

It’s not old age that makes your body hurt, it’s neglecting your body that makes you hurt. Plain and simple.

Make stretching part of your ENTIRE FAMILY’S Daily Routine!

Remember the definition of INSANITY. If it hasn’t gotten better doing what you are doing (or not doing) change it!

Treating your body well is your #1 responsibility to yourself. No one else is going to do it for you.

If your injury is different than the ones listed above, shoot me a quick message below and I’ll reply back as soon as possible to offer my advice.

And legally I have to mention that any of the above suggestions are not intended to treat, prevent or cure any diseases.
