Why you say?

I’ll explain below, but first let me explain the purpose of me writing this.

If you’ve ever been to any of my free nutritional seminars, fitness bootcamps, grocery store tours, private nutritional consultations or just read my weekly emails, my response to you is Thank You!

I’m a guy who loves facts and definitions. Give me a clear and concise answer or directions and I will get the job done.

Einstein, a man regarded as one of the smartest human beings of all time said it perfectly, “the definition of insanity is repeating the same steps over and over again, expecting a different result”.

My reasoning for writing this is to STOP THE INSANITY! 🙂

How many times have you started a new diet, exercise program or healthy endeavor? Did you quit? Did you flourish?

Here is my point of writing this……..

A scientific phenomenon happens at 211 degrees, water boils. But, at 212 degrees steam is produced and that power is enough to fuel a locomotive across the country!

So what’s the point? It’s amazing what 1 degree of change or 1 degree of additional effort can produce.

This is no different from someone who has a gym membership or attends my fitness bootcamps but doesn’t put in that additional effort that would make their results EXTRAORDINARY!!

 extraordinary; adjective: adjective: extra-ordinary
  1. very unusual or remarkable.

If you want results that are unusual or remarkable, you MUST do something Extra-Ordinary.

So why did I say congratulations? Because you are reading this!

So often someone asks me a fitness and nutrition question and my response is, “did you read my email last weekend? Have you checked my blog for the answer? I’ve written about that exact subject already. ”

The answer more often than not is “NO”.

That same person will continue on and tell me that “they don’t have time” or “it’s because he’s a guy, and it’s easy for guys to lose weight” or “they are younger than I am” or “I’m so tired all the time, there is no way I can add anything to my day”….and so on and so on.

So is this true? Do people who experience unusual or remarkable results have more time, are all males, younger than yourself and they have great energy?

NO. NO. NO and NO!!!

I have clients of all ages, male and female, young and old with energy and some without.

So what is the difference between them and you?

Action; noun:

  1. the fact of doing something, typically to achieve an aim or goal

Action is the difference between doing and not doing.

Action is the difference between my successful clients and those still asking questions.

Action is the difference between starting and finishing.

Newton’s Law states, “a body in motion, stays in motion”

So the next time you want to quit, DON’T. You need consistency and you need to keep going!

5 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE EXTRA-ORDINARY:

  1. Write down your goals- seems easy enough but you would be surprised how many people do not write down their goals.
  2. Write down what you know- if you know that exercising 4 times a week will help you achieve your goal, write it down! If you know that eating sugar will make you gain weight, write it down! If you know that eating more vegetables will help your digestion and keep you full, write it down! If you know preparing your meals in advance will prevent you from cheating or skipping meals, write it down!
  3. Pick 3 things from your list- there are endless action steps to help you achieve your goals but don’t get overwhelmed. Pick 3 things from your list above and attempt to do each one of them daily for 2 weeks.
  4. Log your action steps- too often we only focus on our numbers (weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, bodyfat %, etc…) but you cannot control your numbers! You can control your actions.
  5. Evaluate weekly- Each week, evaluate your action steps. Did you achieve your desired amount of action steps? Are you ready to add another action to next weeks plan? Do you need to work harder to meet your action goals?

Your results are dependent on YOU!

Don’t worry about what someone else is or isn’t doing, find what works for you.

If you don’t know what works for you, start with the steps above.

What has gotten you to where you are currently is ordinary….be EXTRA-ORDINARY!!

Remember, some of the most successful people in history have failed numerous times before achieving success. So can you!
