You need to hear this. It’s true.
You’ve probably said these before or maybe even offered them to help pick up or inspire a friend in need.
Quotes, sayings, cliches, mottos or whatever you want to call them, you have heard these all before but have you ever listened to them?
“You have two ears and one mouth, so you should listen more and talk less” that isn’t one of the 5 quotes to live by but it’s a great place to start this message to you.
So why do I like quotes?
Well if you’re like me then you are constantly striving to improve yourself in the quest for happiness, success and love.
So when someone gives you criticism, whether it’s constructive or not, our first reaction as humans is to get defensive. It’s because it’s on someone else’s time, not your own. In your head you are already doing your best so any criticism derails you from your path.
But really, if someone was bold enough to tell you something to work on or offer advice to improve, you should listen!
With quotes, when you are looking for advice or direction, you can search for help you when are ready for it…on your time. Almost like a coach at your disposal to help pick you up, set you straight and get you back to moving in the right direction towards your ultimate potential and goals.

Definition of insanity
We have all heard Albert Einstein’s opinion on this. Repeating the steps that have gotten you to where you are over and over will not result in a new destination if you continue to follow in the same path.
To create something new for yourself you need to travel and take new risks in paths you’ve never gone before.
Great things always happen on the other side of fear. It’s the reward of taking great risks. When you get out of your comfort zone, there is a whole new world of opportunities waiting for you!
Failing to plan is planning to fail
Stuff just doesn’t fall into place on it’s own. You have to plan for it.
You have to plan your meals, write your grocery shopping list, buy it, cook it, prep it, pack it, bring it, heat it and eat it.
Good luck trying to ‘wing it’!

How much time do you waste focusing on other people’s business, problems and drama?
The answer: more than you should.
It does you no good to focus on other people’s problems. It’s negative energy, it’s draining and it’ll bring you down faster than you realize.
Surround yourself with positive people who don’t have drama in their life. I promise they are out there.
If you don’t believe me you are definitely hanging around the wrong crowd.

Same thing when victory, success or happiness arises.
You cannot live in the past and you cannot live in the future. It’s all about being in the moment, right now.

This quote was repeatedly uttered by Coach Bill Belichick after a 41-14 loss early last season as reporters blasted him and his team with questions regarding what went wrong in the game. As most people know, his team the New England Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl last season…with controversy surrounding them every step of the way they stayed focused and got the job done.
This quote hangs above my office desk.
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity
When it comes to success, there is no such thing as luck.
Sure there is luck involved possibly in gambling, getting a job, winning the lottery, catching the green light or finding a sale on a pair of shoes but really, it’s just statistics and chance.
With success, you’re either ready when the opportunity presents itself or you are not.
If you wait for luck you’ll be left behind all those who have hustled for what they want before you.
