Guest blog by New Port Richey Bootcamp trainer: Robin

I am one of those people who has always looked at other people and thought “Wow, I wish I looked like she does.” Not out of envy or jealousy, but out of wishing I had the motivation that it took to look that way.

Gyms have never really been right for me, it seemed I could never stick with it.

I am a forty-something, ahem, mom with a full time job, full time family, and a full time house.

I work for a bank and when Derek came in he would always ask “When are you coming to Bootcamp?”

So finally I decided to give it a try, and needless to say I was hooked!

I had never tried anything like it before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was so much fun and a great work out all rolled into one.

The more I stuck with it, the better I started to look!

The group atmosphere was great because we kept each other motivated.

It was encouraging to see the changes in everyone’s body, and made me personally want to help people stay on track.

So I decided to become a personal trainer!

Never did I think that would be a step in my fitness regime, I never thought it was in my physical make-up to do it, but I did it!

Okay, now what??  I love Bootcamp, I train people and help teach Bootcamp, what should I do next??  Fitness competitions?  Yeah right is what I thought.   I can’t do that is what I said.

Well, I did my first body building competition last year and won! I did my first bikini competition this year with my best friend, and fellow Bootcamper Melanie!

Not to mention my first 5K run that I did!

The lesson I have learned throughout my journey is to never think you can’t do it, or that it is too hard.

If you dig deep and look within yourself you will find the motivation and strength to accomplish your fitness goals.

Everyone starts somewhere, you just have to start!
