Why did I start Bootcamp? Simple, I was miserable.

At my heaviest...you can definitely find Waldo!

At my heaviest…you can definitely find Waldo!

I was at my heaviest, 220lbs. I wouldn’t look in the mirror, never wanted to go anywhere because I hated the way I looked and felt.

It was affecting my family and marriage, I knew I had to do something.

Having done bootcamp workouts before I was told to check out  New Port Richey Bootcamps and Derek. So I did, hesitantly.

Having been at my heaviest I was afraid I wouldn’t keep up or would fit in, but I did and I did!

I was hooked the first day because I felt that feeling of accomplishment, something I hadn’t felt in a long time.

There’s been lots of physical struggles, and injuries I’ve had to overcome.

My daily therapy sessions with a tire and a bat :)

My daily therapy sessions with a tire and a bat 🙂

The hardest for me is the internal struggle. I am someone who has always done things for everyone else and always put myself last, if at all.

So the idea of paying the money when I know it could be used somewhere else, on my children, paying bills, I have to tell myself I am worth it, and I am!

Food has also been a major struggle, I am Italian and besides being really loud, we eat and eat and eat!

Every meal is a feast. We don’t eat salads and fruits either…. we eat pasta, pasta, bread and oh yea, pasta!!

Learning to eat healthier is also a constant struggle, but I’m getting it. Having new meals plans to follow from Derek each transformation challenge has given me a better idea of what to do too.

My upcoming goals are to start training for a mini triathlon in November of 2015. Something I never would have even thought of doing before!

I’m getting mushy and emotional now because of the weight I’ve lost and confidence I have gained.

I am happy again, I like me, and because of that my marriage and family are saved.

Thank you Derek, Rich, Richard and Michelle for all that you do, your dedication and work touches peoples lives in more ways than you know.

Allison is one of those rare clients who don’t come along very often.

She was motivated and she had already had some success with a trainer, who she LOVED, that I highly respect as one of the top trainers in our area, Cheloman Fitness.

Because of her schedule, our location and other logistics she wasn’t able to make it to the other bootcamp anymore.

It was my job to live up to those expectation, deliver results and continue her transformation journey. Talk about pressure!!

From day one, even with limitations on some exercises, Allison has worked her tail off. Her intensity and focus during workouts are some of her best qualities. She blocks out distractions, dials it in and makes quick changes in her form when critiqued.

She was one of the rare clients that was already well trained, knew what to expect and pushed through her fears.

I have watched Allison grow (or shrink) into a confident woman who isn’t afraid to ask someone new to be her partner or lift a heavier weight when challenged.

She’s brought other friends with her to bootcamp to get them motivated about exercise and fitness.

Her daughter now exercises and LOVES to come to bootcamp… and she actually likes burpees 🙂

That huge smile is just as beautiful as it was before, but now it has much more health, happiness and confidence behind it.

Allison’s life has changed.  I’m proud and honored to be a part of that process.

Your story will now go on to motivate someone else to change their life and strive for better so that they too will say…

“I AM WORTH IT!”

Committed to your fitness success and the next phase of your journey,
