So that might be one of the catchiest subject lines I ever write. But, you will see when I get to the end exactly what I mean!

Why is it that some people do so well dealing with problems while others completely crumble at the on set of any disturbance from their plan or goals?

I always remember a funny saying I heard long time ago, ‘if you try and make a plan God will only laugh at you!’

While I am a big believer of making goals, setting a plan and following through with action steps to get you there, there will always be disturbances in the path to success.

To get to success, it’s never a direct line of effort to results. There’s always points of momentum, points of getting stagnant, points of triumph, points of discontent, moments enjoyment, moments of dread and every other hiccup, speed bump and roadblock in your way.

So how do the successful ones seem to get through these times while the other people hardly ever make it past getting started?

It’s resilience!

Resilience that no matter what s*** comes your way, that you have the mindset to conquer and overcome.

Resilience is the difference between A) starting, quitting and starting over, and over, and over, and over or B) setting a goal and following through until the end through hell or high water.

So why did I mention weed?

A weed is the most resilient, pesky, fighting, relentless, stubborn and indestructible force that you need to become yourself!

While most people might want to be described as a flower with more beauty such as a rose, an orchid or something else exotic… they are frail, weak and hard to sustain. A weed will grow through anything!

Snow, it will grow. Concrete, it will grow. In dry weather, in wet weather, in dark places, in bright places a weed will grow!

There is no chemical known to mankind to kill weeds. Some may stop them temporarily but, sure as hell they will grow back and grow back with a furry: thicker, stronger, bigger and fight back!

Weeds account for only 3% of all plant species worldwide yet THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

Stop trying to live your perfect little life, it’s not going to happen. Sh!t happens.

Be tough, be strong, be unstoppable, be adaptable and be willing to work past all adversities in your life.

A cool Tony Robbins quote I read while doing research for this blog that says:

“You know who doesn’t have problems? Dead people… dead people have no problems,” originally by Norman Vincent Peale.

Just like weeds, problems never seem to come at the right time, at the right place or where they belong. But eventually we have to deal with them!

There will always be problems in each person’s life… so, become tougher than your problems!

Learn from your struggles and your triumphs to become stronger, tougher and more unstoppable the next time you are faced with the same challenges or adversities.

Don’t go down without a fight, I know you can do this.

Your new mindset starts now!
